Haim Maor (Moshkovitz)

1951            Born in Jaffa, Israel.

1961-1968 Studied painting under Edwin Solomon

1972           Graduated from the Hanah Yofeh Trade High
                    School, majoring in Graphic Arts

1975-1976 Taught art in an elementary school in Kibbutz
                     Gesher

1976            Graduated from Seminar for Teachers of Art and
                     Painting, Ramat Hasharon

Since 1977 Member of Kibbutz Givat-Haim-Meuhad.

1977-1984 Taught art, design and art history in the “Hof
                    Hacarmel” School, Kibbutz Ma’agan Michael.

1980-1981 Art Director of the Kibbutz Gallery, Tel Aviv
                    (jointly with Dov Or-Ner and Ya’acov Hefetz).

1981-1983 Wrote articles about art in “Yakhad” – journal of the Kibbutz Movement,
                    and designed holiday issue covers for the journal.

1983-1995 Art writer for the “Khotam”, supplement of “Al-Hamishmar” newspaper.

April 1983   Member of the Israeli Artists and Writers delegation to
                     “40 Years to the Warsah Ghetto Uprising”. Visiting in concentration
                     camps and death camps sites, and in remnants of Jewish towns in
                     Poland.

1986-1987  Taught art at the “Oranim” art institute, Tivon.

1988-1996  Taught art at the Art Center and School of TV and Cinema
                      Professions, Givat Haviva.

1989-1993   Editor of the Art Journal “Studio”.

1995-1996   Art Writer for “Davar Hashavua”, (weekend supplement of “Davar”),
                       the magazine “Arba al Khamesh” and the local periodical “Al Hatzafon”

1996-1997   Art Director for “Chadashot Tovot”, (monthly supplement of “Ma’ariv”)

1996             Recognized as Dr. [equivalent] based on his Articles, Artistic activities
                      and involvement.

1996-1997   Head Master of the College of Visual Arts, Beer-Sheva.

1996-1999   Lectures two courses in the dept. of the Art History in the Humanities
                      Faculty of Ben-Gurion University, Beer-Sheva.

1997-1998   Teaches drawing at “Sha’ar Hanegev” college.

1998             Tour of Tennessee, USA, as part of an artists exchange,
                      on behalf of the Foreign Ministry.

                       Humanities Faculty, Ben-Gurion University, Beer-Sheva
